I decided it wasn’t fair to only highlight my mother in law’s ridiculous comments. I will spread the love and give you a few from my father in law.

“We are going to go on vacation at Christmas this year so make sure that baby comes on her due date .” - I am due 12/23 and as we all know due dates are oh so accurate.

After negative reaction regarding their absence during the time their only son is expecting his first child, Father in law says, “It is not like we can help at all. Why do we need to be around?” – First of all, why wouldn’t you want to be around? Don’t even get me started on the three page list of things we will need help with during the early weeks.

“Why do you want paternity leave? Babies don’t do anything but sleep. SC won’t need any help.” - this comment speaks for itself.

While MIL says some ridiculous shit, FIL really takes the cake. So much so, I usually completely tune him out so I don’t lose it and physically attack him. I may listen up more often just so I can share his pearls of wisdoms here.
